Join NAMI Hampton/Newport News for our August Open Meeting featuring Nicole Harney, MHA, MT-BC, of Tidewater Music Therapy.
Nicole is a licensed and board-certified music therapist with degrees in music therapy and healthcare administration. A Hampton Roads native with extensive classical cello training, she has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals living with depression, addiction, dementia, autism, stroke, cancer, and other health conditions.
At Tidewater Music Therapy, Nicole serves as a music therapist, office manager, internship director and clinical supervisor, social media manager, and advocate for expanding access to music therapy. She will introduce us to music therapy and share how intentional, evidence-informed musical experiences can support wellness, connection, communication, and quality of life.
