New CSB Consumer and Family Member Advisory Council

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community?

Joy Cipriano from the CSB attended the last NAMI meeting and shared that the Hampton Newport News Community Services Board (HNNCSB) is offering a volunteer opportunity with the Consumer and Family Member Advisory Council (CFMAC).

The Consumer and Family Member Advisory Council (CFMAC) is actively seeking dedicated volunteers to join their efforts in promoting mental health, substance use disorder recovery, and developmental disability resources.

Making a Difference

This initiative offers a unique chance for individuals, whether patients or family members, to get involved with the vital work of the CSB.

Volunteers will play a crucial role in advocating for the welfare of those affected by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. By joining CFMAC, volunteers will help shape effective, recovery-based programs and encourage best practices in service delivery.
